Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive from participants, families, and Support Coordinators.

Do you come to homes?

Yes! We provide mobile physiotherapy services across Melbourne. We come to your home, making therapy convenient and comfortable. Home visits allow us to see your real environment and tailor exercises to your living space, equipment, and daily routines.

Do you do school visits?

Absolutely! We regularly visit schools, kindergartens, and early childhood centres across Melbourne. School-based physiotherapy allows us to work with teachers and aides to support your child's participation in the classroom and playground. We can also provide training for staff on positioning, mobility aids, and exercise programs.

Do you write NDIS reports?

Yes, we provide comprehensive NDIS documentation including:

  • Progress reports for plan reviews
  • Assistive Technology (AT) assessment reports
  • Functional capacity assessments
  • Goal achievement summaries
  • Evidence letters for funding requests

We aim to have reports completed within 5 business days of assessment.

Do you offer hydrotherapy?

Yes, we offer hydrotherapy (water-based physiotherapy) at accessible pools across Melbourne. Hydrotherapy is excellent for people with joint pain, neurological conditions, or limited mobility, as the buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints while allowing therapeutic exercise. We'll help coordinate pool access and can attend with you for supported sessions.

Can you help with equipment and assistive technology?

Yes! We provide Assistive Technology (AT) assessments and recommendations for:

  • Wheelchairs and seating systems
  • Walking aids (walkers, crutches, canes)
  • Standing frames and positioning equipment
  • Shower chairs and bathroom modifications
  • Pressure care equipment
  • Orthotics and splints

We write the required AT reports for NDIS funding and coordinate with suppliers to ensure you get the right equipment.

Do you work with children?

Yes, we have extensive experience in paediatric physiotherapy. We work with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, including those with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, and acquired injuries. Our team includes certified DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention) practitioners who specialise in helping children reach their motor milestones.

How does NDIS funding work for physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is typically funded under the Capacity Building budget in your NDIS plan, specifically "Improved Daily Living" or "Therapeutic Supports." We can work with your funding whether you're:

  • Self-managed – You pay invoices directly and claim from NDIS
  • Plan-managed – Your plan manager pays our invoices
  • NDIA-managed – We invoice the NDIA directly

Contact us and we'll help you understand how to use your funding for physiotherapy.

What areas do you cover?

We provide mobile physiotherapy across all of Metropolitan Melbourne, including:

  • Inner Melbourne: Brunswick, Carlton, Fitzroy, Richmond, South Yarra
  • Eastern Suburbs: Box Hill, Doncaster, Glen Waverley, Ringwood
  • South-Eastern: Dandenong, Frankston, Cranbourne, Berwick
  • Western Suburbs: Werribee, Footscray, Sunshine, Altona
  • Northern Suburbs: Preston, Reservoir, Bundoora, Epping

Don't see your suburb? Contact us – we likely cover your area!

How quickly can I get an appointment?

We aim to schedule initial appointments within 2 weeks of receiving a referral. For urgent needs, we'll do our best to see you sooner. Once you've submitted a referral, we'll contact you within 24 hours to discuss your needs and book your first session.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes! We offer telehealth physiotherapy sessions via video call. Telehealth is great for:

  • Exercise program check-ins and progressions
  • Movement assessments and corrections
  • Education sessions for families and carers
  • Follow-up consultations
  • When you're unwell or can't attend in person

Telehealth sessions are NDIS-funded and can be a flexible addition to your in-person therapy.
