How Sessions Work

1

Falls Risk Assessment

Comprehensive assessment of your balance, strength, gait, and environmental factors. We identify your specific risk factors.

2

Personalised Program

We design a targeted intervention addressing your specific risks - balance exercises, strength training, gait work, and safety strategies.

3

Progressive Training

Regular sessions (typically 1-2x per week) progressively challenging your balance and building your strength and confidence.

4

Home Program

We teach you exercises to continue between sessions, with clear instructions and safety guidance.

Home Safety Assessments

Because most falls happen at home, we can conduct a home environment assessment to identify hazards and recommend modifications that reduce your fall risk.

We look at:

  • Lighting in walkways and stairs
  • Loose rugs and floor coverings
  • Bathroom safety (grab rails, non-slip mats)
  • Stair safety and handrails
  • Furniture placement and clutter
  • Cord management
  • Bed and chair heights
  • Outdoor paths and steps

We can recommend equipment and modifications, and provide reports for NDIS assistive technology funding if needed.
